Microblading & Liner
Thin brows got you down? Looking for a lasting way to bring out your eyes? Take a break from filling in and defining over and over again with gels, pencils, and powders. At Radiance Medspa, we make it easy to highlight the natural beauty of your eyes with microblading and permanent eyeliner. People from Clearwater, St. Pete, and other Tampa Bay-area cities love these long-lasting treatments because their eyes are always on point no matter what the day brings.
The Basics of Microblading
You may have heard microblading referred to as “eyebrow tattooing,” but that’s not quite accurate. Instead, microblading is a more delicate procedure that uses a very fine device similar to a pen to insert ink just beneath the skin’s surface, creating the look of individual brow hairs one by one. This meticulous technique can create results that look incredibly natural while still being on-trend. If you’re not sure if microblading is right for you, we have plenty of other options at our Brow Bar.
We perform microblading here in our office. Because of the highly focused nature of the procedure, your appointment can last for a couple of hours. We use a light local anesthetic on the brows to keep you comfortable throughout the entire procedure. While you may feel a bit of pinching, most patients don’t find it too uncomfortable.
After your treatment, you can safely return to most of your normal daily activities. However, for the first few days, it’s important to avoid getting your brows wet. Because the entire healing process can take up to a month to complete, it’s a good idea to get your microblading done well in advance of a big event.
In the long term, your beautiful brows can last for up to 3 years before the ink starts to fade—that’s why it’s so important to choose an experienced practitioner, such as the ones right here at Radiance Medspa.
The Basics of Permanent Eyeliner
Much like microblading, permanent eyeliner involves the meticulous placement of pigment into the skin. We can line the upper eyelids, lower eyelids, or both in a choice of colors. We personalize the thickness and contour of the liner to your unique preferences. While results do fade over time, we recommend you choose the style of definition that will work for you for years.
When you arrive for your treatment, your practitioner will design your liner using removable eyeliner as a guide. After cleansing your eyelids, a topical anesthetic will be applied to minimize any discomfort. The pigment is then inserted into the skin along the lash line. Multiple passes are made until the desired result is achieved. Treatment of both the upper and lower eyelids takes about 30 minutes.
While no downtime is needed, some swelling can be expected for the first day or so after treatment. To avoid infection, you will need to apply antibiotic ointment and refrain from wearing makeup and contact lenses, as directed.
After treatment, you can look forward to having beautifully defined eyelids 24/7 for 3 to 5 years, depending on the color eyeliner you choose and individual factors.
